Bridging the gap between the creative & business…
That’s the difference between a filmmaker with a hobby and a filmmaker with a career. Unless your films are making money that’s exactly what you have – an expensive hobby.
If your plan is to go to Sundance and sell your film, then you’ve failed before you’ve started. Even if your film is selected into a prestigious festival, that does not guarantee a lucrative distribution deal. AND there’s a difference between getting distribution, and getting the right distribution.
In Film School, I studied film history, theory, some production…all great stuff but I quickly discovered I was unprepared for the realities of show business. Truth is, I spend 99% of my time killing myself dealing with business and legal just so I can spend 1% of my time doing what I love – making films.
I became a global sales agent because I was tired of getting screwed. As a result, I’ve learned exactly what it takes to distribute a film from the inside and now I’d like to share that knowledge with you.

“There’s what you want to do and there’s what you have to do. These two things rarely make love to each other. Find the graceful middle ground and you can FINALLY make movies that make money…”
What We Teach
DEVELOPMENT
The success of a film can be made or broken in this process. Groom your project for success in production AND distribution, by avoiding pitfalls in square one of the process.
“Marc Clebanoff is the real deal. You want honest perspective on your project with someone who knows the ins and outs of the distribution labyrinth? He’s your one stop shop. No rainbows and unicorns, just a straight shot at what to expect.”
“Marc Clebanoff represented my independent film (with all unknown actors) and secured international distribution in several territories & domestic distribution as well. Marc is both extremely knowledgeable in his field and also maintains the highest ethical standards. He has been very supportive and a pleasure to work with.”
“Marc does not play around with words. His feedback is very refreshing, and though honest, it’s not negative.”
“Marc Clebanoff knows indie film production as few do (he’s done it all) and I learn something new from him every time we talk.”
